Combining architecture and interior design in one friendly boutique, erasing the line between exterior and interior

Naka Designs, LLC was founded in 2007 when architect, Robert Fitzgerald, and interior designer, Momoko Morton, decided once and for all to return to the roots of their professional passion. Their concept of “lifestyle design” was sparked by a desire for a more intimate connection to their projects and a more personal relationship with their clients. “What we strive to do differently with our client-oriented approach has to do with the formation of true partnerships and collaborations with developers, contractors, consultants, artists, and owners, to ensure that everyone benefits from the design exercise.” Through their unique approach, Naka Designs has come to understand their role in the stewardship of the communities. They have a wider understanding of the richness inherent in communal diversity. “We often invite our clients, peers and neighbors to come together in our office to join in what we call the ‘Stone Soup Symposium,’ where we provide opportunities for curious minds to experience and contribute to the study of diversity and its effect on design.”
